Our goal is to remove barriers and provide accessible goods, services and facilities for all our residents. Peterborough County has adopted an Accessible Customer Service Standards Policy which acts as a guiding document for ensuring inclusivity for all.
Peterborough County is committed to meeting the requirements outlined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). Peterborough County will, upon request, provide or arrange for the provision of accessible formats and communication supports as it relates to information about our goods, services or facilities.
Council adopted an Accessible Customer Service Standards Policy and trains its employees, members of Council, volunteers and students who interact with the public on behalf of Peterborough County with Customer Service Standards Training, and Accessibility Training Guide. These guides train users on their rights and responsibilities under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005.
