The Household Hazardous Waste Depot is open to residents of the City and County of Peterborough.

Operates Year-Round

• Wednesday - Saturday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

2026 Holiday Hours

• January 1: closed
• April 3: closed
• July 1: closed
• November 11: open
• December 24: 8 am to 1 pm
• December 25-28: closed
• December 31: 8 am to 1 pm

Safety Requirements:

• Never mix substances
• Keep materials in their original container or in a well-marked container
• All containers should be securely sealed
• Securely pack materials in your vehicle to prevent spills

The Peterborough Hazardous Waste Depot accepts:

• Electronics
• Batteries
• Paint and Reusable Products exchange
