Paint a Plow!

Every year, Peterborough County and local elementary schools join forces to rejuvenate the snow plow blades into vibrant works of art!

In May, snow plow blades are distributed to participating schools across Peterborough County. Students and teachers enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to bring their artistic visions to life. The result? Stunning and unique designs that will soon brighten our winter roads.

These beautifully painted plows will be proudly showcased at our Douro Public Works Depot, located at the intersection of Hwy 28 and County Road 4, before they hit the streets for the upcoming winter season.

2025 participating schools:

Selwyn Township: Chemong Public School and St. Martin Catholic Elementary School
Asphodel-Norwood Township: Norwood District Public School
Otonabee-South Monaghan Township: Rhema Christian School
