Compost and Organics

The average household garbage bag contains 30-50% organic material. Diverting organic waste from our landfill helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions by preventing the release of methane, a harmful climate pollutant. Reduce waste by backyard composting or participating in our organic diversion programs.

Curbside Leaf and Yard collection is offered in 14 communities, with drop-off options available in areas without curbside pick-up. Learn more about Leaf and Yard collection.

Organics Program

Participate in our organics diversion programs! Depot Molok Organic collection is available throughout the County. Curbside Organic collection is available to Bridgenorth residents.

Backyard Composting

The County sells a variety of composters as well as offering Garbage to Garden, an at home composter installation program.
