Heat Warning In Effect

Hydro One crews are working to restore electricity following yesterday's storm. Report your outage to Hydro One by texting 92887 or calling at 1-800-434-1235. Reminder, stay 10 metres away from any downed power lines and report them to Hydro One.

If you are seeking relief from the heat, air-conditioned public spaces such as libraries and community centres can be accessed during regular operating hours. Please reach out to your local municipality for further information.

If using a generator, keep it outdoors and away from windows, doors and ventilation openings to prevent carbon monoxide from entering your home.

Orange Heat Warning in effect! Stay safe during extreme heat by:
  • Drinking water regularly, even if you don’t feel thirsty
  • Limiting outdoor activities to cooler parts of the day (early morning or late evening)
  • Checking in on neighbours, family members, and friends who may be at greater risk
  • Keeping your home cooler by closing curtains and blinds during the day
  • Calling Health811 (dial 811) if you begin to feel unwell
