Lang Pioneer Village Museum Opening for the 2026 Season on May 19

Lang, ON – Lang Pioneer Village Museum’s tour season begins in just one week. Starting Tuesday, May 19, Lang Pioneer Village Museum’s Spring hours will begin. During Spring hours, the historic village will be open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 3 pm.

Kicking off both the Museum’s summer hours and special event season is the annual Father’s Day Smoke & Steam Show on Sunday, June 21. From Father’s Day to Labour Day, the museum will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. With a familiar roster of special events, from the Transportation Day Car & Motorcycle Show to Christmas by Candlelight, guests can continue beloved family traditions or discover a new favourite.

Visitors will have the opportunity to enhance their visit this summer with Afternoon Tea, served in the Keene Hotel during July and August. Afternoon Tea is an add-on experience with daily admission and is a perfect way to relax and savour the atmosphere of the 19th century. Additional hands-on experiences are offered throughout the summer and fall through workshops and immersive programs. From an introduction to blacksmithing to experiencing the life of a 19th-century youth, visitors, young and old, can try their hand at something new this season at Lang Pioneer Village Museum.

"With the change of seasons comes a renewed sense of possibility at the Museum”, says Museum Operations Manager Elizabeth King. “As we reopen for spring and carry through to summer, the site comes alive in many ways, through lively events, immersive learning opportunities, and moments of quiet discovery. However you choose to visit, we welcome the chance to explore the past together.”
For those wanting to take advantage of all the Museum has to offer this season, season passes are available for purchase. Details can be found at www.langpioneervillage.ca/plan-your-visit/admissions-passes/.
