Construction Projects

Selwyn Stormsewer Cleaning and CCTV Video Inspection

Please be advised that storm sewer flushing and CCTV video inspection will completed within the Township of Selwyn. The work will be

conducted on various Township and County roads within the following communities: Lakefield, Bridgenorth, Ennismore, Woodland Acres, and
Youngs Point.

Work will also be completed on County Road 18 from County Road 19 to County Road 1, and Lakefield Road from Woodland Drive to 
Smith 8th Line.

Work will commence in the listed communities during the week of March 29, 2021, with a duration of approximately 45 days.

The subject streets will remain open with temporary traffic control operations.


Please note that the above dates may fluctuate due to weather constraints and other factors. Every effort will be made by the County and
Township to keep impacted stakeholders informed of any significant changes.

 Baxter Creek Bridge Rehabilitation - Public Notice

Canadian Navigable Waters Act

The County of Peterborough hereby gives notice that a submission has been added to the Common Project Search (online registry) pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act described herein and its description.

Pursuant to paragraph 4.1 and 9.1 of the said Act, The County of Peterborough has deposited with the Minister of Transport, on the on-line Common Project Search (http://cps.canada.ca/) and under registry number 2701, a description of the following work:

The rehabilitation of Baxter Creek Bridge across Baxter Creek on County Road 28, 0.225km South of Larmer Line on the border of the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan and the Township of Cavan Monaghan.

County Road 18 / Fifth Line Intersection

The Project:

The County of Peterborough (County) together with their Consultant, D. M. Wills Associates Ltd. (Wills), is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) to complete intersection enhancements at County Road 18 (Chemong Road) and Fifth Line. Enhancements are to include the addition of a southbound left turn lane on County Rd 18. The study area is generally outlined in Figure 1.Figure 1–Study Area

The Process:

This study is being conducted in accordance with the requirements of a Schedule A+ of the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) document, Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, October 2000, as amended in 2007. Schedule A+ projects are pre-approved, however, the public is to be advised prior to project implementation.

Public Consultation:

Throughout the study, the County and Wills shall consult with the required agencies and advise members of the community of the project plans. Members of the project team (contact details provided below) are available to answer questions regarding the project. If you would like to be added to the project mailing list, please contact the Project Manager identified below.

County Road 4 Rehabilitation

County of Peterborough for the Rehabilitation of County Road 4 (Warsaw Road)

 

Please be advised that the rehabilitation of County Road 4, within the Township of Douro-Dummer from McNab Avenue easterly approximately

3.5 km will tentatively commence the week of July 15th, 2020 with a duration of approximately seven (7) weeks. This rehabilitation will include

pulverization, restoration of cross fall, full depth expanded, hot mix asphalt paving, intersection redesign of County Road 41

(locally known as University Road) at County Road 4 and cross culvert replacement.

 

County Road 4 will remain open throughout the duration of the rehabilitation with temporary day time flagging operations. Please note that the

above construction dates may fluctuate due to weather constraints and other factors. Every effort will be made by the County to keep the

Township of Douro-Dummer and residents informed of any significant changes.
