Peterborough County and Havelock-Belmont-Methuen have jointly partnered on the road reconstruction project of County Road 48 (George St.) in the Village of Havelock. Construction will begin in June 2024 continuing until November 2024.

The scope of work shall generally consist of and include:
  • The removal and replacement of buried infrastructure, such as water mains, sanitary sewers and storm sewers
  • The removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks
  • Installation of concrete curb and gutters
  • The removal and replacement of the asphalt roadway surface

To facilitate the works safely, staged road closures will be required. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Access for emergency vehicles will be open at all times.
