On March 23, 2020, Peterborough Mayor Diane Therrien and Peterborough County Warden J. Murray Jones jointly called for a State of Emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“These unprecedented times call for swift and drastic measures!” stated Jones. “We need all non-essential workers to stay home. We must protect our community! Now more than ever before we are all in this together...but you must stay apart!!”
