Presentations to Council
Any member of the public may make a presentation to County Council. This is referred to as a delegation. A delegation may be arranged by completing the Delegation Request Form or by completing a form at the County offices.
Please note that Delegation Requests are only permitted during Regular County Council meetings and not permitted during Special County Council meetings.
Please note that any information that is submitted as part of a delegation, including petitions (ex. Names, addresses, emails, etc.) will appear as part of the Council agenda, which is distributed in advance of the meeting, posted on the County website and becomes part of the public record. Do not include any information on your petition that you do not want made public. Providing this information to the County implies consent and that the County may disclosure or publish this personal information.

County Council is comprised of the Warden (Head of Council) and 15 Councillors, either Mayor/Reeve or Deputy Mayor/Deputy Reeve from each of the eight lower tier municipalities. Council proceedings are governed by Ontario’s Municipal Act, 2001 and the County of Peterborough Procedural By-law. County Council Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, with some exceptions. There are typically no meetings in July. Meetings commence at 9:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the County Court House located at 470 Water Street, Peterborough, unless otherwise noted. Meetings are open to the public. Council meetings can be found on the Events Calendar. |

Agendas are available after 3 p.m. on the Thursday before each Council meeting and can be found on the Agendas and Minutes Page. Hard copies can be purchased for $25 in accordance with the Tariff of Fees By-law. |
How to Request a Delegation/Presentation |
Any member of the public may make a presentation to County Council. This is referred to as a delegation. The County may need to limit the number of delegations per session, as determined by the Chief Administrative Officer and /or Clerk. A delegation may be arranged by sending the Delegation Request Form to the Clerk's Office or by completing a form at the County offices with the following information:
Notice: Any information included in petitions (ex. Names, addresses, emails, etc.) will appear as part of the Council agenda, which is distributed in advance of the meeting, posted on the County website and becomes part of the public record. Do not include any information on your petition that you do not want made public.
The Delegation Request form and presentation materials are to be received no later than 8 days prior to the Council meeting. Any requests received after the deadline will be considered for the next meeting.
A copy of your submission will be circulated to Council in the Agenda package in advance of your presentation.
