Notice of Complete Application for Plan of Condominium
The County of Peterborough has received a complete application for a standard plan of condominium, in accordance with Sections 51(17) and 19.1 of the Planning Act. The application has been assigned file number 15CD-24001.
Location
A key map indicates the location of the lands which are subject to the application. The lands are located in part of Lot 18 Concession 19, Harvey Ward, Municipality of Trent Lakes, and front onto County Road 49.
Purpose and Effect of the Application
The purpose of the condominium application is to create a 13 lot residential plan of condominium. Two additional blocks are proposed for storm water management and park space. The proposed lots and blocks will be served by a common element condominium road. The development proposal comprises an area of 11 hectares. The southern 1.5 hectare portion of the site is the subject of a separate severance application for future commercial use.
The subject lands are designated Hamlet in the Trent Lakes Official Plan.

Peer review of the supporting documents will be coordinated through the County office.
*Note that the County cannot provide copies of Archaeological Assessments to members of the public. As a condition of their licence, archaeologists must document the results of the fieldwork they carry out in Ontario by filing archaeological reports with the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism. Any member of the public can request a copy of any report in the register by contacting the Ministry directly.
The Right to Appeal
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the County of Peterborough to the Ontario Land Tribunal but does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, if one is held, or make written submissions to the County of Peterborough in respect of the proposed plan of condominium before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the plan, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the County of Peterborough to the Ontario Land Tribunal.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the County of Peterborough before the proposed plan of condominium is approved, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
Important Legislation Changes - Public Meeting and Appeal Rights
Please note that Bill 23, the More Homes Built Faster Act, made changes to Section 51(20) of the Planning Act which no longer requires Municipalities to hold public meetings for draft plans of subdivision/condominium.
Further, Bill 108, the More Homes, More Choices Act, made changes to Section 51(39) of the Planning Act which no longer permits third party appeals to decisions for draft plans of subdivision/condominium. Instead, appeals are restricted to "specified persons" which includes the province, the Municipality, the applicant, and utility companies.
