Revised - Notice of Construction - Burnt Dam Bridge Replacement
Please be advised that the Burnt Dam Bridge, located at the end of Burnt Dam Road in the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen, will be closed for the period of approximately eight (8) weeks, commencing August 1, 2023.
During this period, Burnt Dam Bridge will be completely closed to all traffic including emergency services vehicles and pedestrians.
The County of Peterborough, Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen and Central Eastern Snowmobile Club are collaborating on the replacement of the existing bridge with a new “trail” style bridge to be in-service for the 2023/2024 snowmobile season.
Please note that dates may fluctuate due to weather constraints and other factors. Every effort will be made to keep agencies and residents informed of any significant changes. Please circulate this notice to interested parties within your respective agencies. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. Work on weekends may be undertaken to accommodate completion of these works.
